HOW CAN YOU HELP?

There are a number of ways to help the

Caretta Research Project!

We are a public non-profit charity (501(c)3).  We are one of the few projects that demonstrate how governmental agencies can accurately and adequately collect and distribute conservation and management information without allocating state or federal funds. This is important because since state and federal budgets are often cut, certain aspects of sea turtle protection programs on some islands are also cut. We depend on participant revenue, grants and individual and corporate contributions to fund the operating costs of the project.

Here are some ways to help the turtles:

- Participate on the project and get a hands-on experience protecting turtles!

- Volunteer as a boat captain to transport crews and gear to and from Wassaw Island in the summer!

- Adopt-A-Turtle for holiday gifts, birthdays and other special occassions, for classrooms, or for yourself!

- Donations made directly to the Caretta Research Project

- Honorariums and Memorials in honor of or in memory of a special person in your life

- Corpporate Matching Gifts that match contributions from employees to charities, doubling support.
