Here is a GREAT way to meet interesting people from all over the country and be out on the water this summer, all while helping Georgia's loggerhead sea turtles!

Throughout the summer, staff and volunteers with the Caretta Research Project go to Wassaw Island to collect data on the nesting loggerhead sea turtles and protect their nests from high tides and predation from raccoons and foxes.  Boat captains are needed to help transport crews and gear from Landings Harbor marina to Wassaw Island every Saturday.  There, they pick up the previous weeks' crew and bring them back to the marina.
