My week at Wassaw Island was amazing!

Over a dozen years ago, my son and I participated on this project and we have returned every year.

There is no doubt in my mind that our decision to do something "different" that summer fifteen years ago, was one of the best decisions we ever made.

A number of years ago I was browsing through a book about Volunteer Vacations and selected the Caretta Resesarch Project.

I have participated on the Caretta Research Project for at least 12 years and have always enjoyed my weeks on Wassaw immensely.

I am a retired public school teacher and I currently teach a science methods class to Kennesaw State University’s Elementary and Early Childhood Education students.

I volunteered with Caretta three years in a row at the end of high school and beginning of college.
